Northgate sold 3,500 ounces of gold at A$1180 an ounce

Northgate Minerals Corp. sold part of its production for the highest price in its history. It sold 3,500 ounces at A$1180 an ounce.

Peter MacPhail, the Canadian boss of the local operation, said:

It’s a great day. Our best day ever, said MacPhail, noting that ingots containing 94% gold leave the mine and are shipped to the Perth office of Johnson Matthey, where they are turned into “five nines.
