Overview:

Opawica Explorations Inc. is a junior explorations company with interests in the exploration and development of mineral resource properties. Their main focus is the 100% owned Atikwa Lake-Mayburn gold and copper project located near Kenora, Ontario. In addition, the Company controls approximately 36% of Upper Canada Gold Corporation (TSX.V symbol “UCC”) which is represented by 11,744,752 Upper Canada Gold shares owned by Opawica. The principal asset of UCC is the Dingman gold-aggregate deposit located in southeastern Ontario.

Chief Property:

Atikwa Lake

Located approximately 120 km southeast of Kenora Ontario, the Atikwa Lake project is a former 500 tonne per day gold and copper mine that has been on stand-by care and maintenance since 1973.

Opawica has conducted numerous drilling programs on the 100%  property, beginning in 2005. The most recent drilling, 2009-2010, is a six hole program, four of which have been completed. It targets on the Main Mayburn Zone and the Mayburn Footwall Zone.

The above results from the Footwall Zone have been completed outside of the near surface NI 43-101 compliant resource, which have been previously reported by the Company. These results are expected to increase the Footwall Zone Inferred resource associated with the Mayburn Main zones. Opawica also expects the Preliminary Scoping Study on the footprint and infrastructure of the property to be completed by early July 2010.

The company intends to expand the drilling program if it yields successful results.

The Company commissioned Golder Associates Ltd. (“Golder”) to prepare an NI 43-101 report on the Atikwa Lake property which included modeling of the mineralization associated with the resources at Atikwa Lake, as well as independent resource calculations. This initial report was completed in March 2009. On August 31, 2009, the Company filed a new NI 43-101 report by Robert Laakso, P.Eng, which included new resource estimates on the Atikwa Lake Project.
