U.S. gold rises on dollar retreat

On Monday, U.S. gold futures rose on dollar weakness and commodities gained value, recouping some of last week’s losses.
The press release is quoted as saying:
Gold futures finished January more than 1 percent lower from Dec. 31 close of $1,097.60.
