India gold futures have edged higher on Wednesday on global cues and a weakening rupee, which makes the dollar-denominated imported commodity expensive.

Vishakha Chhabria, an analyst with Ventura Commodities Pvt Ltd., stated:

Gold looks higher in intraday trade …fundamentals look positive..
