Caerus Resources (CVE:CA) annouced today the acquisition of White Gold, a private company with gold properties in Columbia.  As part of the deal, John Gomez, president of White Gold will join the board of Caerus. 

The White Gold consessions have targeted other significant gold plays in Columbia.  180,000 hectares in the California-Vestas mining district are proximal to the Greystar Resources (TSE:GSL) Angostura gold deposit and the Ventana Gold (TSE:VEN) La Bodega gold discovery.  The release also states that the areas claimed by White Gold are not yet granted, but expect to be "over the coming months".
