Kinross spends $10m on Fort Knox Expansion

The Alaska Journal of Commerce reports on Kinross Gold’s (TSE:K) plans for exploration and expansion at it’s Fort Knox gold mine in Alaska. Included in the plans is 16,000 feet of drilling at the Gil prospect joint owned with Teryl Resources (CVE:TRC).

Arne Bakke, chief exploration geologist at Fort Knox is quoted saying:

We’re evaluating other properties around Alaska, both early state and advance properties, and we’re interested in any opportunities across the state.
